Facebook- Responses and Some examples of images

Here is some screenshots of some of the extremely helpful people who have given me some images to use. The response was so fast, I could not keep up with them all!

Facebook- Scouting for images

To collect images of kids for my Digipak design, I decided to ask my mam to type a status on her facebook to see if any of her friends with children would be willing to take a photo of their kids pulling a face or if they had any already that they would help me out with. The response has been amazing just minutes after posting and my mam's inbox is currently exploding haha. Photos are still coming through and I will post all of my images in a seperate post once I have collected them.

I have asked anybody willing to help out to include a little message assigning me the right to use their children's images in my work and assuring them that It will only be used solely for the purposes of my media project.

Shooting in the woods

So here I decided to do some quick filming
in the woods near my house. This is just to show another dimension to the relationship
and bulk out the story for my video. The facial expressions tell a lot as it can be interpreted differently by others. The dull scenery also links to my genre and package themes as indie digipaks tend to use dull, dark colours in their products.

Shooting over the holidays

My boyfriend has been back from college over the holidays and although finding times to shoot has been extremely difficult due to how busy everyone is and plans we both had made before hand, I got some shots filmed. As shown further down my blog, I planned which shots I wanted to make and made a simple list to keep me right. I decided that I wanted t shoot the couple doing more things together, creating their first date and them having meals and going for walks together, like what couples do in real life. This is to show the development of the relationship before the peak of it. I decided to film in some woods near my house of them going on a walk, having a conversation quite contently. I also filmed them having a meal and a bottle of wine at a table with candle. I thought doing this would show an informal date at either one of their houses, getting t know each other and showing their feelings for one another.I also filmed them watching a film on tv togther, cuddling up and looking more familiar with each other as this is what most couples will do.

I decided as they were  young couple, to film them studying together in the bedroom. Where they are engaging in conversation whilst helping each other with school work. I have I included some doodling on a notepad that the by does, drawing the girls name in a heart, creating a cringey, soppy love story feel to it and again, creating an understanding of their feeings for eachother.

Bastille- Font

The font is simplistic which is normal for most alternative and indie album covers. It compliments the image used and doesn't distract the person looking at it. The colours that they use such as light and pale ones contrast with the dull backgrounds. It is typical for indie and alternative artists to choose a simple or geometric font for their album covers as it is a generic convention of the genre. It simple block effect, is extremely effective and stands out.The font is opaque which is common for the genre and it compliments the image. The use of handwritten style fonts are used for pop album covers. The text has been interlinked with the name of the band in their iconic style. The text fits across the void space surrounding the focus points of the image. The band has made this style a recurring theme in all of their seperate digipak designs

Indie Rock Band Adverts

I am going to search a variety of adverts related to my genre 'Indie Rock Alternative'.

Here are some examples of adverts, where parts of them have heavily influenced myself when designing. The bold font is one that is definitely an aspect that has inspired me to use in my own designs overlapping the image.
