Indie Rock Band Adverts

I am going to search a variety of adverts related to my genre 'Indie Rock Alternative'. 

Here are some examples of adverts, where parts of them have heavily influenced myself when designing. The bold font is one that is definitely an aspect that has inspired me to use in my own designs overlapping the image.

Tonights filming of the dinner table and TV scenes

Tonight I filmed some shots of the couple having dinner at my dinner table in my living room. I arranged the lamp to be in shot with a candle and some wine. I also decided to film them watching a film together cuddled up on the sofa. I did this with the ceiling lights dimmed as I wanted to give the feeling that it was nighttime and that there would be an element of romance to the scene. 

When looking back at my footage, i may want to consider re shooting the dinner part as the lighting is very dark, even though I had a lot of lighting on for this part. This won't take me long however as it is only a few shots, that can be easily re done. Before doing this, i am going to edit my footage and see if I can adjust the brightness to change the lighting and if this fails then I will re film.

What is a Digipak?

Here I thought I'd research what a Digipak really is and how they are formed. This is what i found on the internet.

'Digipak is a patented style of CD, DVD or BD packaging, and is a registered trademark of AGI-Shorewood, an Atlas Holdings LLC company.'

Its features typically consist of a gatefold (book-style) paperboard or card stock outer binding, with one or more plastic trays capable of holding a CD or DVD attached to the inside.

Re-doing parts of my narrative

As the deadline for my final cut hand in has been pushed forward, both me and my teacher decided that the storyline for my music video definitely needs improving and parts do need adding in to create a more sustained story. I am going to film extra scenes with my actor over the christmas period to bulk out my narrative and let it make more scenes. I have decided that it needs more of a build up and by establishing this, I will ultimately need to shoot more footage of different things and different places.

I have decided that shooting footage of the couple in different places, where they first meet, their first date etc will add more to the story and engage the audience a lot more with the whole concept.

Analysis of my rough cut

After I had finished editing my rough cut, I took some time to go through and watch it in detail to get my own opinion. From the beginning of editing, I knew nothing would be perfect as it is just only a rough cut at the end of the day but I knew that it was crucial to pick out any faults that I found, so that I could try my best to make them right for my final cut. Parts such as the typography, I had in my head from the start that would be altered and edited with different effects so it was basically just a template in my rough cut and wouldn't look the way it came across in my rough cut in my final piece. When I was editing, I tried to edit to that the miming matched the song however, when I exported it seemed to be a little off time at parts, such as the first scene and I am going to alter it and try and match it as best I can when doing my improvements. In the beginning of my video as there's an obvious beat, I will try and cut my footage up to edit more to the beat and see what this looks like.
